Can I be the lead plaintiff in a class action?
Many coworkers and I were all affected by the same pay practice. Could I be the person who brings a class action?

Possibly. A named plaintiff (class representative) is usually someone whose claim is typical of the group and who can fairly represent everyone’s interests. Responsibilities often include providing documents, answering questions under oath and staying informed about the case.
Before going ahead, check whether you signed an arbitration agreement or class-action waiver, as these can affect whether a class case is possible. Also be aware that some employment claims have special collective-action procedures.
