These Firm Terms supplement the general Terms of Service and the Lawyer Terms for organizations using Law Agora to manage multiple attorneys.
Authorization
The person creating a firm account must be authorized to act on behalf of the firm and to bind the firm to these Terms. Misrepresenting authorization is grounds for immediate termination.
Firm verification
We may request documentation to verify the firm’s existence, registration, and authority to operate (e.g., articles of organization, bar association firm registration). Until verification is complete, the firm profile is published with a “Pending” status.
Attorney affiliation
Attorneys may affiliate with a firm via three paths:
- Email-domain auto-match: if the lawyer’s email matches a domain the firm has verified, affiliation is automatic.
- Firm-admin approval: the lawyer requests affiliation; the firm admin approves or rejects in their dashboard.
- Pending state: while unverified, the lawyer’s profile shows “Affiliation pending” rather than the firm name.
Firm admins are responsible for promptly approving or rejecting affiliation requests. We may auto-expire requests older than 30 days.
Firm admin responsibilities
- Maintain accurate firm information (offices, practice areas, languages).
- Manage attorney roster: confirm new affiliates, remove departing attorneys promptly.
- Pay subscription fees on time.
- Designate a successor admin in writing before stepping down.
Subscription tiers
The Firm tier supports up to 10 attorneys included in the base price. Additional attorneys are billed at the per-seat rate listed on the pricing page. Adding/removing attorneys mid-billing-period prorates as configured by your subscription provider.
Liability for attorneys
The firm is responsible for the conduct of attorneys it has affiliated. If an affiliated attorney violates these Terms, we may suspend that attorney’s affiliation pending review and notify the firm admin.
Termination
If a firm account is terminated, attorneys affiliated with the firm revert to solo status (with no automatic firm display). Subscription fees do not refund for partial periods.
