⑦ A note on the firm-affiliation problem

Three-way verification handles the tricky case of lawyers claiming firm affiliation:

• Email-domain auto-match: if the lawyer’s professional email domain matches the firm’s verified domain, affiliation is auto-approved.
• Firm-admin approval: if not, the firm administrator gets a notification to approve or reject the claim.
• “Pending — name of firm withheld”: until either of the above resolves, the firm name is hidden from the public profile to prevent unauthorized name-dropping.
