The Code of Conduct applies to all users — clients, lawyers, and firm admins. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
Be civil
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks.
- No content that promotes discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- No doxxing or sharing private information about others without consent.
Be honest
- No impersonation of other lawyers, firms, or organizations.
- No false reviews — including reviews from fake accounts, paid reviews, or reviews exchanged for compensation.
- No misrepresentation of credentials, experience, or outcomes.
- No deceptive language about prices, fees, or what is included in a service.
Respect privacy
- Do not share private messages received through the Service publicly without the sender’s consent.
- Anonymous Q&A is anonymous — do not attempt to identify or de-anonymize askers.
- Lawyers must comply with their professional duties of confidentiality.
No spam or solicitation
- Do not send unsolicited commercial messages to other users.
- Lawyers may not bulk-message Q&A askers offering services unrelated to the question.
- No misleading links, malware, or phishing.
No unauthorized practice of law
- Do not give legal advice in jurisdictions where you are not admitted to practice.
- Q&A answers must be informational and clearly framed — formal advice requires a separate engagement.
- Non-lawyers may not represent themselves as lawyers in any context.
