Law Agora is committed to making our Service accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.
Conformance status
The Service is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA at the time of this statement’s last update. We are actively working toward full conformance.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate landmarks and headings.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
- Color contrast at AA ratios for body text and interactive elements.
- Form fields with associated labels.
- ARIA attributes on icon-only controls and dialogs.
- Reduced-motion preference respected via
prefers-reduced-motion. - Screen reader-only text where visual cues alone aren’t enough.
Known limitations
- The interactive map on Find Lawyers is keyboard-operable in basic form (zoom, pin focus) but advanced map features may not be fully accessible to screen reader users; an equivalent text-based list view is always available.
- Some user-generated content (reviews, Q&A answers, articles) may not include alt text on embedded images. We are working with authors to improve this.
- Live transcript / captions for any future video or audio content will be added when such content is introduced.
Testing
We test the Service with automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual screen-reader testing (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS / iOS). We run audits at every major release.
