University Lecturer in Family Law

The Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified individual to a University Lectureship in Family Law from 1 October 2015. The person appointed will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in particular on the undergraduate Family Law paper and on the postgraduate Comparative Family Law and Policy paper. S/he will conduct and assist in supervising research, and participate in the general work of the Faculty.

The appointee will be an outstanding scholar and teacher in family law, and will demonstrate potential to carry out and publish research of the highest calibre. S/he will normally hold a PhD or equivalent qualification.

The Lecturer will be based in central Cambridge. Appointment will be permanent, subject to a probationary period of five years.

In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a supplement to the salary range stated for this role of up to 20%. Any such supplement would be awarded on the basis of a demonstrable history of outstanding achievement and an expected future level of contribution and is entirely at the discretion of the University.
