Senior Lecturer in Family Justice

Applications are invited for a full-time Senior Lecturer in the area of Family Justice. Social Work & Social Policy at Northumbria came in the top 20 nationally for research power in REF 2014. This appointment builds upon existing research strength in the Department in the areas of child welfare, safeguarding practice and care proceedings. In a national climate of austerity and recent massive changes in legislation, the urgency of this area of research has intensified, and we are looking for a candidate who can contribute to efforts at Northumbria to understand and impact policy and practice.

You will contribute to the design and delivery of interdisciplinary learning around family justice in the Department of Social Work and Communities. In addition, you will undertake research which contributes to the research profile of the wider Faculty. You will have a PhD in a relevant subject, or be near completion of your doctoral studies. In post, you will be supported in your own development as a researcher and as an educator.
