The Faculty of Engineering and Computing at Coventry University is one of the largest in the UK, and is nationally and internationally renowned as a centre of innovation for its teaching, learning and research of computing subject areas. The Department of Computing one of five departments in the faculty has a very successful suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The department is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of teaching and research. We offer undergraduate degrees in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Ethical Hacking and Network Security, Games Technology and Multimedia Computing. Our postgraduate courses include Data Science and Computational Intelligence, Computer Science, Network and Forensic Computing. We are interested in developing research in the following themes:

You will be responsible for the development, preparation and delivery of learning, teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level, ensuring the teaching for which you are responsible is informed by contemporary research in the relevant field and develops the ability of students to engage in debate, critical discourse and rational thinking.

You will actively contribute to research groups or communities of practice internally and/or externally, assisting with bids and tenders for external projects or contracts. You will also be disseminating research outputs using a range of media and develop external networks nationally and/or internationally.

With a Masters degree or a PhD and appropriate professional qualification and/or membership, you will need to demonstrate teaching experience at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes. Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts, supported by evidence of contribution to appropriate output or experience of professional practice/consultancy will be required.
