Senior Lecturer in Criminology
Due to the popularity of our Criminology courses we are investing in our academic provision and are seeking to appoint a number of Senior Lecturers to join our team of experienced academic staff within the Criminology Group. We are looking for inspiring and enthusiastic academics to make a key contribution to our Criminology Courses. The Criminology Group sits within the School of Social, Psychological and Communication Sciences and offers courses in Criminology and Criminology with Psychology at Undergraduate level and MSc Criminology at Post Graduate level.
The successful candidates will have a doctoral qualification in Criminology or a related field, and will also be able to demonstrate a good record of academic leadership and achievement in scholarship and research, alongside high quality teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. You will be responsible for raising the academic profile of the courses we offer and maintaining a reputation for a high quality student experience. Candidates will therefore need to demonstrate experience of successful module/ course leadership/directorship. You will be expected to contribute to the activities of the Centre for Applied Social Research (CeASR) within the School and strengthen our capacity in relation to research income generation.
