For over 100 years, Loyola University Chicago School of Law has offered excellence in legal education to men and women from across the country and around the world. The school’s innovative, broad-based curriculum draws on the interdisciplinary strengths of Loyola University Chicago to train tomorrow’s lawyers to be counselors, advocates, planners, mediators, arbitrators, judges, policy makers, and litigators.

Loyola’s International LLM Program, launched in 2012, is designed for international law school graduates and continues to attract outstanding students from all over the world. Our dynamic and diverse students from over 25 different countries are accomplished young lawyers who enjoy the vibrancy of a world-class city and thrive in their legal studies at Loyola. The program offers two tracks which both feature a generous scholarship program, academic excellence, outstanding professors, an individualized and flexible curriculum, global diversity, a supportive and welcoming community, and networking opportunities in vibrant metropolis.

Track I: The LL.M. in U.S. Law for Foreign Lawyers is designed exclusively for graduates from non-U.S. law schools seeking to meet bar exam requirements of select U.S. jurisdictions. The rigorous curriculum provides a thorough training in U.S. law and teaches legal skills critical to advising clients in the U.S. and globally.

Track II: The LLM in International Law with Focus Option allows students to study private and public international law and choose their own focus in the other areas of the Loyola’s expertise – arbitration, negotiation, and mediation; business and corporate; child and family; competition; health; intellectual property; and tax law. Individualized focus possible.
